Megan Gallagher

Megan A Gallagher

Owner, LMHC

Megan Gallagher graduated Summa Cum Laude from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA, with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her primary areas of study were Psychology, Leadership, and Communications. She then completed her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling* at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both RI and MA.

Megan specializes in behavior modification (regardless of the cause), trauma, and employment/vocational concerns. She is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is recognized as an evidence-based treatment for psychological trauma and depression by the SAMHSA National Registry of Evidence Based Programs and Practices (NREPP). Megan believes in treating each client as a whole person and not just a diagnosis.

Megan opened Here to There Counseling in 2016, where she continues to see both individuals and couples that want to not only strengthen the skills needed to live a happy life but are also looking to learn how to enjoy their journey.

In 2019, Megan then decided to expand her services into coaching and personal empowerment (which can be done with clients anywhere in the world), and Here to There Wellness was born. It is through HTW that she can reach more people by not only offering online coaching services but also by providing numerous online programs that are meant to simulate actual in-person coaching sessions. Megan created the Root to Fruit program by taking the top issues discussed in her treatment room and outlining ways to reach success.

Jessica McGuire

Jessica McGuire

LCSW

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the Catholic University of America in 2018. Previously, she was a teacher for over 18 years and has seen many different issues that affect both children and families, including; school issues, grief/ loss, domestic/ sexual abuse, homelessness, teen pregnancy, drug abuse, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and various other traumas. Jessica came into the world of mental health with the goal of helping other’s work through their issues and achieve long-lasting success in overcoming life’s hurdles. She has experience in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Additionally, Jessica believes in treating the whole person and her philosophy lies in the concept that a person’s mind, body, and soul should be well- cared for. Furthermore, she believes that therapy is a team effort, and that the client plays an integral role in their own treatment. Jessica works with the client in order to create a safe and welcoming environment that will most benefit the client and their needs. She has experience working with CBT, Mindfulness, and TF-CBT therapies. Jessica believes that life’s struggles can be turned around into learning opportunities and that there is nothing that one cannot overcome and work through. In essence, out of adversity comes strength! She is a living, breathing example of this.

When she was 6 years old, Jessica was diagnosed with Steven’s Johnson Syndrome, an allergic reaction to something…in her case penicillin. She ran a fever of 105.4 that essentially caused her body to burn from the inside out, resulting in 3rd degree burns from her knees up, including all of her mucus membranes. After recovering from both her lungs and kidneys collapsing and being in a temporary coma, she was diagnosed as legally blind, mostly deaf in her right ear, and with lungs that have severe scar tissue resulting in a lifelong chronic cough. She uses magnifiers and other low-vision aids to assist with reading.

Knowing that she has made it through to the other side of such adversity simply indicates how strong and passionate she is at her core and how knowledgeable she is when it comes to helping clients move through their own issues.
